In September 2024, EveryLibrary and AISLE surveyed candidates who will appear on the November 5, 2024 ballot for the first Chicago Public Schools board election. They asked questions about their views on school libraries and licensed school librarians.

As researcher Keith Curry Lance has stated, "Since 1992, a growing body of research has consistently shown positive correlations between high-quality library programs and student achievement." You may view any or all of the candidate's responses to the survey below.
