PRESS RELEASE: CPS Parents for Buses Endorses Kimberly Brown for Chicago Elected Board of Education in District 4
Chicago, IL – August 14, 2024 – Kimberly Brown, a dedicated parent and school busing advocate, has received the official endorsement of CPS Parents for Buses, a leading parent advocacy group within the district. This endorsement marks a significant milestone in Kimberly Brown's campaign for the Chicago Public School Board of Education.
CPS Parents for Buses, a parent advocacy group focused on reinstating busing for magnet and selective enrollment students in CPS, has chosen to endorse Brown due to her integrity in word and actions, intentional and constructive community communication, and commitment to reinstate busing (and expand access) across CPS.
“Beyond student transportation, Kimberly has proven herself to be the best listener and communicator of any candidate in the whole city,” said CPS Parents for Buses, in their tweet announcing the endorsement. “Residents of the 4th district should know that someone will pick up their calls, answer their emails, if you elect [Kimberly Brown].”
Kimberly Brown has the proven experience to drive real results for an improved CPS for all young people. She is running for the school board on a platform of Experience and Empathy, dedicated to expanding equity in the school district by providing critical resources to caregivers, including safe & reliable transportation to school.
