Who Should Vote for Chicago Board of Education?

Any & All Registered Voters in Chicago Should Vote

Any and all registered voters in Chicago can vote for the Chicago Board of Education in THIS general election (the same ballot with Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on it).

This includes:

  • Any Chicago student (CPS or private) who is 18 years or older by Nov 5

  • Recent Chicago graduates who are away at college

  • Parents and grandparents in Chicago

  • Private school families

  • Senior citizens

  • Single people

  • DINKS (dual-income-no-kids)

  • Chicagoans who don’t care about kids because strong schools create strong economies

Every registered voter should care and make an informed decision on our Chicago Board of Education.

  • Everyone pays for Chicago Public Schools and is invested (literally and figuratively) in their success.

  • We are all neighbors across this city, so when our public school children succeed, we all succeed.

Less than 20%

Did you know that less than 20% of voters make a decision on their Boards of Education in the U.S.? But these are the adults who steer the course of our school funding and resources, curriculum, direction, and leadership. Most notably, they’re now the same individuals making the decisions on how and when local schools open or close during pandemics, hybrid learning models, contract negotiation oversight, and other REALLY IMPORTANT DECISIONS FOR OUR ENTIRE CITY.

It is our local school board making the most important decisions for our city. It is the local school board that is more directly affecting their families than any other political race. The. Local School. Board. Is. Most. Directly. Impacting. Our. Lives.
